Because of their regimentation, Mordeth society exists as one, monolithic organization. The Mordeth refer to this concept as the A'Kee, meaning of the highest order or of the greatest preeminence. In fact, they so rarely identify themselves without this honorific that some outsiders mistakenly believe their racial name to be Mordeth A'Kee.

The A'kee is not an organization so much as a psychological phenomenon. Mordeth thrive on order, and this is the order that appeared millennia ago as a result of that need.

The A'Kee is led by a single Emperor who has the highest authority in all matters. He (or she) is surrounded by the second tier of leadership – those atop the various functions of Mordeth society and industry – who advise the Emperor in various matters. Should the Emperor die, the advisers will select a replacement by simple vote, invariably selecting someone from their own ranks.
